Maxon Strengthens Product Leadership with Appointment of Steve Forde as Chief Product Officer

Forde’s breadth of experience across creative technology and global platforms positions him to help scale Maxon’s portfolio and deliver world-class experiences for individual creators and enterprise customers alike.

BAD HOMBURG, GERMANY / ACCESS Newswire / January 21, 2026 / Maxon, maker of powerful, approachable software solutions for creators working in 2D and 3D design, motion graphics, visual effects, and more, today announced the appointment of Steve Forde as Chief Product Officer (CPO). In this role, Forde will lead Maxon’s global product organization, working closely alongside Philip Losch, Chief Technology and AI Officer, to drive product strategy, execution, and long-term innovation across the Maxon portfolio.

Forde joins Maxon at a pivotal moment for both the company and the creative technology industry. With decades of experience spanning high-growth startups and global enterprises serving creative professionals, he brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial vision and operational scale to the team. Forde’s appointment reinforces Maxon’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team while advancing its product offering to meet the evolving needs of creators – keeping the close connection to the artist community that has long defined Maxon.

“What drew me to Maxon was the convergence of people, technology, and a fundamental shift in how creative content is made,” said Steve Forde, Chief Product Officer at Maxon. “The proliferation of games, advertising, and social media is driving 3D from niche skillset to mainstream job requirement. With the right combination of product innovation and intelligent workflows, it can become accessible to an even broader audience. Maxon is uniquely positioned to lead that transformation, not just by building powerful tools, but by delivering experiences that scale with creators as their needs evolve. I didn’t want to sit on the sidelines while it happens.”

Over the course of his career, Forde has held senior leadership roles at companies including Adobe and Amazon, where he led product, engineering, and design teams for large-scale platforms such as Adobe® After Effects® and Amazon Prime Video. Earlier in his career, he founded and led two successful startups, including GridIron Software, where Forde oversaw the development of plugins for Adobe After Effects, giving him his first introduction to working closely with the Maxon team in 2007. These roles have given Forde deep, firsthand experience navigating both innovation-driven environments and complex, global organizations.

As CPO, Forde’s focus will be on establishing a clear, long-term product vision while scaling Maxon’s product organization to support global teams, increasingly complex customer needs, and sustained enterprise growth, ensuring teams are empowered to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences without losing the creative spirit that has long defined the company.

“Steve brings a deep understanding of both where Maxon comes from and where the market is heading,” said David McGavran, CEO of Maxon. “His ability to connect long-term vision with practical execution makes him an ideal partner as we continue to grow. This appointment strengthens our leadership team and positions Maxon to lead the industry through the next phase of creative evolution.”

A key pillar of Forde’s mandate will be guiding the integration of emerging technologies into Maxon’s products in ways that respect artistic craft and amplify human creativity. With a deep appreciation for the skill, intent, and vision behind creative work, Forde will focus on using technology to remove friction and expand possibilities, allowing artists to spend more time creating and less time navigating complexity. By grounding innovation in real-world workflows and listening closely to the creative community, Maxon aims to deliver tools that empower artists and teams alike to produce exceptional work.

Looking ahead, Maxon will continue to invest in product innovation that serves its passionate creative community while expanding into new markets and use cases. Under Forde’s product leadership, the company plans to execute on a bold vision for the future of 3D and media creation, defining how creators will work over the next five years and beyond.

    Maxon Previews Digital Twin

The standalone application from Maxon transforms CAD and 3D models into photorealistic digital products, designed for today’s multi-channel marketing pipelines.

BAD HOMBURG, GERMANY / ACCESS Newswire / January 13, 2026 / Maxon recently unveiled Digital Twin, an upcoming standalone application that powers a new workflow for creating and using high-fidelity digital representations of real-world products across modern marketing and brand design pipelines. Currently in development, Digital Twin is intended to help brands and marketing teams maintain visual accuracy, consistency, and creative control as product imagery moves across formats, platforms, and tools, from traditional design software to AI-enabled applications.

Digital Twin brings Maxon’s established 3D and rendering technology to a new tool for creating production-ready marketing assets that can be placed into user-provided backgrounds or environments, while fully preserving the original product’s look and properties. These “digital twins” can then be used consistently across promotional media, such as ads and videos, and integrated with a wide range of popular design tools, including AI-enabled graphic design applications and third-party AI tools.

    From CAD to Campaign-Ready Creative

The Maxon Digital Twin workflow begins with a cleared-for-use CAD or 3D product model and transforms it into a photorealistic digital prototype through detailed control over materials, textures, lighting, perspective, and environmental interaction. The resulting digital asset can then be reused across environments, formats, and platforms without recreating or reshooting the product. Digital Twin enables teams to maintain a single, authoritative digital version of a product that can be adapted for use across digital ads and video content, print, packaging, and eCommerce visuals, where visual precision and brand accuracy are essential.

    Speed, Scale, and Creative Control

Built for consumer packaged goods and product-driven marketing, Digital Twin enables branding professionals to ensure products appear accurate and consistent across all channels and markets. The standalone application is designed to integrate with popular design and creative applications, including AI-enabled tools to significantly scale production output. By replacing fragmented production pipelines with a reusable digital product asset, Maxon Digital Twin aims to streamline production while preserving the exact look, materials, and proportions that define a brand’s identity, delivering an end-to-end workflow that reduces production time from weeks to hours.

    Built on Maxon’s 3D Foundation

Digital Twin builds on Maxon’s decades of experience in professional 3D modeling, rendering, and pipeline integration across industries, including film, advertising, broadcast, and design. The workflow, which was previewed at CES 2026, demonstrated how accurate lighting and shadows, perspective matching, reflections, and the realistic interaction of these elements enable a digital product to sit convincingly in any environment while remaining visually true to its real-world counterparts.

Maxon Digital Twin is currently in development. Additional details, integrations, and timing will be shared in future announcements.

Maxon Strengthens Growth Strategy with Appointment of Ksenia Kolchina as Vice President of Marketing

Kolchina joins to drive Maxon’s growth vision, fueling expansion into new industries and markets while reinforcing the company’s creative foundation.

BAD HOMBURG, GERMANY / ACCESS Newswire / October 29, 2025 / Maxon, maker of powerful, approachable software solutions for creators working in 2D and 3D design, motion graphics, visual effects, and more, today announced the appointment of Ksenia Kolchina as Vice President of Marketing. The newly created role unites Maxon’s world-class creative tools, data-driven strategy, and passionate community, signaling the next chapter in the company’s mission to grow with and for the creators who inspire its innovation. Kolchina’s arrival comes as the company looks ahead to 2026, a year focused on sustainable expansion into new regions and markets, including the wider launch into Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC).

Kolchina joins Maxon after leading brand and growth marketing at Audible Europe, an Amazon company, and holding senior roles across TV, film, gaming, streaming, and music software. Her background combines a deep appreciation for creative culture with an analytical, results-driven mindset – a blend that mirrors Maxon’s unique position at the crossroads of technology and artistry.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with creators – filmmakers, musicians, authors, and artists – people whose craft and passion drive cultural change as well as industry growth,” said Ksenia Kolchina, VP of Marketing at Maxon. “My experience has afforded me the opportunity to see firsthand how product innovation translates into creative output, and this is exactly what drew me to Maxon. It was immediately clear to me how engaged the company and its leadership are in the future of creators’ craft. I was especially drawn to the team’s stance on its role in the age of AI, seeing it as a powerful enabling tool – not a replacement for human talent. I’m excited to join a team that is so passionate about developing products that foster boundless creative expression.”

Kolchina’s role will focus on shaping a global marketing function that supports Maxon’s long-term vision: connecting product excellence with creative empowerment, while amplifying the brand’s resonance in different regions and markets.

Ksenia brings a rare balance of creative intuition and strategic depth that perfectly complements Maxon’s ethos. Her understanding of the creator community, combined with her experience leading global growth, reinforces the foundation we’ve built over the years,” said David McGavran, CEO of Maxon. “Our approach has always been thoughtful and deliberate, growing in ways that strengthen both our products and our people, users and employees alike. With Ksenia on board, we’re ready to take that vision even further while staying true to what makes Maxon unique.”

Looking ahead to 2026, Maxon is building on its strong year-over-year growth by expanding into new industries and markets, while strengthening its regional footprint across APAC and EMEA. Building on its June 2025 introduction into AEC, Maxon will broaden its presence in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector, with the official public launch of its real-time cinematic rendering technology to architectural visualization (ArchViz) coming spring 2026.
