  • Google’s January 2026 ‘Personal Intelligence’ Update Validates Jason Barnard’s Algorithmic Trinity Framework

Digital strategist who coined ‘Answer Engine Optimization’ says SEO and GEO each address only one-third of how AI works. Introduces unified AIEO framework.

SEO and GEO each address only one-third of how AI works. Optimizing for one while ignoring the others is like sitting on a three-legged stool—with two legs missing.”

    — Jason Barnard, CEO of Kalicube

SOMMIèRES, FRANCE, January 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — On January 22, 2026, Google launched ‘Personal Intelligence’ in AI Mode, connecting Gemini to users’ Gmail and Photos for personalized AI responses. For Jason Barnard, the digital strategist who coined ‘Answer Engine Optimization‘ in 2018, the announcement validated a framework he has been building for over a decade: the Algorithmic Trinity.

    The Partial Solutions Problem.
SEO practitioners focus on search engine rankings. GEO advocates, following the framework coined by Princeton and IIT Delhi researchers in November 2023, focus on visibility in Large Language Model outputs. Each approach, Barnard argues, optimizes for only one piece of a three-part system.
“SEO ignores LLMs and Knowledge Graphs. GEO ignores search engines and Knowledge Graphs,” said Barnard. “But AI assistants don’t work that way. ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude etc all pull from search results, language models, AND knowledge graphs simultaneously. Optimizing for one while ignoring the others is like sitting on a three-legged stool – with two legs missing.”

    The Algorithmic Trinity (Coined 2024).
Barnard’s Algorithmic Trinity framework, coined in 2024, identifies three interconnected systems that power modern AI assistants:
    1. Search Engines: Discovery and ranking. Where AI systems find information about your brand.
    2. Large Language Models: Content generation. How AI systems synthesize and present information about your brand.
    3. Knowledge Graphs: Entity understanding. Whether AI systems recognize your brand as a distinct, trustworthy entity with verified attributes.
“When Gemini pulls your flight confirmation from Gmail and suggests restaurants near your hotel, it’s using all three systems,” said Barnard. “It searched for restaurants. It used a knowledge graph to understand which entities are restaurants versus attractions. It used the LLM to generate a personalized recommendation. That’s the Algorithmic Trinity in action.”

From ZMOT to Zero-Sum Moment in AI: The AI Evolution of Decision Theory.
In 2011, Google introduced the ‘Zero Moment of Truth’ (ZMOT) – the moment when consumers research online before making purchasing decisions. It transformed marketing by recognizing that customers don’t walk into stores uninformed; they’ve already searched, compared, and formed opinions.
Barnard argues that ZMOT described a world of human research and multiple options. The AI era demands a new framework. In 2023, he coined the ‘Zero-Sum Moment in AI’ the critical point where an AI recommends a single, most credible solution to a user’s problem. There is one single answer.
“ZMOT was about winning the research phase. The Zero-Sum Moment in AI is about being THE answer,” said Barnard. “When someone asks Perplexity ‘What’s the best CRM for small businesses?’ and it recommends one solution, that’s a Zero-Sum Moment. The brands it didn’t recommend lost—not because they weren’t good, but because the AI didn’t trust them enough to stake its credibility on them.”

    A Decade of Documented Foresight.
Barnard’s framework is built on a documented track record of anticipating algorithmic shifts years before they became mainstream:

    – 2012: He coined ‘Brand SERP’, the search results for a brand name, identifying it as the algorithmic verdict on brand identity.
    – 2015: Founded Kalicube with the thesis that machine understanding of entities would become the foundation of digital marketing.
    – 2018: Coined ‘Answer Engine Optimization’ in a Trustpilot whitepaper and BrightonSEO presentation, five years before ChatGPT made ‘answer engines’ mainstream.
    – 2023: Coined ‘Zero-Sum Moment’, superseding Google’s ZMOT for the AI decision-making era.
    – 2024: Coined ‘Algorithmic Trinity’, the unifying framework validated by Google’s Personal Intelligence launch.

This track record has earned recognition from inside the search engines themselves. Google’s John Mueller stated: “From Google’s side, [Knowledge Panels] are just algorithmic… I honestly don’t know anyone else externally who has as much insight.” Microsoft Bing’s Fabrice Canel endorsed Barnard’s Brand SERP methodology as the strategic approach for AI-era visibility.

AI Assistive Engine Optimization: The Complete Framework.
To address the Algorithmic Trinity, Barnard introduces AI Assistive Engine Optimization (AIEO), a comprehensive discipline that optimizes brand presence across all three systems. Where SEO focuses on search and GEO focuses on LLMs, AIEO encompasses both while adding the critical Knowledge Graph layer.
“AIEO isn’t a replacement for SEO or GEO, it’s the umbrella that includes them,” said Barnard. “SEO is a tactic within AIEO. GEO is a tactic within AIEO. But neither is sufficient alone. You need all three layers working together.”

The Next Step: AI Assistive Agent Optimization.
Google’s Personal Intelligence signals what will become mainstream next. Barnard predicts that within 18 months, AI assistants will evolve from engines that recommend to agents that act: booking restaurants, purchasing products, and making decisions autonomously.
“AIEO addresses the current reality: AI that drives human decisions. AI Assistive Agent Optimization (AAO) prepares for the coming reality: AI that makes decisions and acts,” said Barnard. “When an agent books a hotel for you, there’s no list of options. There’s one choice. The Zero-Sum Moment becomes absolute, and the brands that AI trusts in 2026 will be the brands it selects in 2027 and beyond.”

    The Bottom Line
“I’ve spent 27 years studying how search algorithms decide what to show people,” said Barnard. “The pattern is always the same: understand, then trust, then recommend. That pattern applies whether you’re optimizing for Google in 2010, ChatGPT in 2024, or AI agents in 2027. The Algorithmic Trinity is the foundation. AIEO is the discipline. And AAO is where it’s all heading. Google’s Personal Intelligence update just proved my thesis.”

  • Biotech Unicorn Startup, 600and1, Launches AI-Powered Incubator to Push Limits of Aging

The company’s cross-disciplinary team lead by a Triple-Dr, Berenika Maciejewicz, applies bioengineering and AI towards human lifespan and healthspan extension.

PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, January 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — 600and1 is a venture incubator and a biotechnology startup integrating artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering to alter the cellular mechanisms of aging. Focused on mitochondrial science and AI data-driven discovery, the company explores new pathways to improve human lifespan and health-span through rigorous, research-based bioengineering innovation.

At the core of 600and1’s research is a focus on mitochondria, the small organelles inside human cells that serve as the body’s primary energy producers. These structures, was found by the company to be the “master switch to life and death,” playing a critical role in cellular function, energy regulation, and the aging process. Using AI-driven models and computational biology, the company is analyzing vast biological datasets to identify molecular patterns and biological targets that could influence longevity and cellular resilience.

Dr. Berenika Maciejewicz was appointed Chief Scientific Advisor to the venture after being recognized for her research contributions to the neuroscience of consciousness, including work published in the Journal of Applied Cognitive Neuroscience, such as “Neuroscience of Consciousness: Cognition, Physics and Philosophy of Decoding the Human Brain”. Her early neuroscientific breakthroughs provided novel insights into how brain activity during lucid dreaming may inform the development of advanced brain–computer interfaces.

Dr. Maciejewicz’s extensive multidisciplinary experience distinguishes her as one of the most versatile contributors in contemporary science. She earned doctoral degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Einstein Medical Institute and another PhD in Neuroscience from London Metropolitan University, in addition to a medical degree, making her a triple-doctor. Further strengthening her academic credentials, she obtained a Certificate of Achievement at Genetics and Genomics program from Stanford Medical University, completed advanced oncology-immunology training at Harvard Medical School, and undertook the Advances in Stem Cell Biology program at the Institute Pasteur in Paris.

“While humans are living longer, too many of those years are spent in decline,” says a commentator working in the field. “To change that equation by targeting the biological roots of aging itself would be the path forward. To forward the science that could enable people to stay stronger, sharper, and healthier for longer.”

The company’s interdisciplinary approach treats aging not as an inevitable decline, but as a complex system that can be understood, measured, and potentially optimized. This framework allows 600and1 to approach human biology the same way an engineer would approach a machine, i.e., by studying its inputs, outputs, and the processes that govern its performance. Through this systems-engineering lens, 600and1 explores opportunities to support longevity scientists around the world who innovate in gene therapy, pharmacological design, and bio-molecular engineering that may one day help extend the number of years people live in good health.

Beyond its scientific and incubator mission, 600and1 represents a growing movement in biotechnology: the convergence of data science, AI, bioengineering, and longevity research. The company believes that progress in this field will not only benefit individuals but also help address the societal and economic burdens of aging populations. As healthcare systems around the world struggle to manage disease of old age, the ability to keep people healthier for longer could transform productivity, healthcare costs, and quality of life. The fund supports collaboration with longevity scientists from various biology and biotechnology fields to unlock insights that were previously hidden. The work is about translating cutting edge knowledge and technology into practical innovation.

600and1 emphasizes that its work and collaborations with other scientists remains in the research phase, guided by scientific rigor and exponential thinking. The company’s long-term vision includes building partnerships with research institutions, universities, and health organizations to advance and double test the understanding of cellular aging and the technologies that might one day reverse the clock. With its blend of neuroscience, bioengineering, and artificial intelligence, 600and1 is positioned at the forefront of a scientific frontier that could redefine the essence of being human. The company’s mission is ambitious but clear: to challenge the limitations of aging through data, discovery, and new bio-design.

  • PractiTest Announces Test Value Score, an AI-Based Capability for Test Prioritization

New SmartFox AI capability scores tests by proven impact, ending guesswork of test prioritization.

QA teams don’t lack data, they lack answers. We’re shifting the conversation from quantity to quality. Which tests have impact? That’s what matters for release confidence”

    — Yaniv Iny, PractiTest CEO

REHOVOT, – NONE -, ISRAEL, January 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — PractiTest today announced Test Value Score, a new capability that assigns every test a continuously updated score from 0-100 based on observed real-world impact, helping QA teams prioritize execution when time is limited.
Test Value Score is powered by SmartFox AI, PractiTest’s built-in AI assistant designed for software testing. SmartFox is built to operate across the QA lifecycle using project context, testing artifacts, and testing logic.

“No one in test management has done this before,” said Yaniv Iny, PractiTest’s CEO. “Everyone measures coverage. PractiTest measures value. Coverage shows what was executed. Value indicates what to execute first. That is the breakthrough, and the impact is immediate and measurable.”

“QA teams don’t lack data – they lack answers,” added Iny. “Test Value Score is designed to turn a growing test library into a clear priority list, so teams can focus limited time on the tests that reduce risk most.”

Why Test Value Score Can Be Calculated

Test Value Score is enabled by PractiTest’s smart data model, which structures and connects testing entities and their metadata, including configurable context such as custom fields. This model links user stories to tests, tests to runs, and runs to defects, and supports analysis across releases, features, and components.
“Intelligence requires structure,” added Joel Montvelisky, PractiTest’s Chief Product Officer. “To score tests by proven impact, structured and configurable context is required, including custom fields tied consistently to requirements, runs, defects, and releases. That foundation enables Test Value Score.”
SmartFox AI evaluates tests across multiple dimensions of observed behavior to generate a score that updates as products and testing activity change, supporting ongoing prioritization.

When tests get honest scores, testing stops being guesswork. Teams stop defending decisions and start making them with confidence.
“This is the shift from test execution to testing intelligence,” said Joel Montvelisky, PractiTest’s Chief Product Officer. “We’re not just tracking what happened. We’re guiding teams towards deciding what to do next. Test Value Score is just the beginning – we’re working on additional functionality to deliver testing intelligence and answer every critical QA question.”

  • Coleman Technologies Wins Leader in Managed IT Award Following AI Panel at MSP Summit

Coleman Technologies recognized in Dallas following CEO Darren Coleman’s AI leadership session at the MSP Summit, emphasizing a security-first IT approach.

AI should reduce noise, not replace accountability. When governed correctly, it strengthens decision-making without increasing risk.”

    — Darren Coleman, CEO, Coleman Technologies

DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, January 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Coleman Technologies, a British Columbia–based managed IT and cybersecurity firm, has been named Canada – British Columbia Winner of the Leader in Managed IT Awards, presented during the MSP Summit in Dallas.

The recognition followed CEO Darren Coleman’s participation on the MSP Summit AI Panel, where industry leaders examined how artificial intelligence is redefining cybersecurity risk, operational efficiency, and executive accountability within managed IT services.

During the session, Coleman outlined how Coleman Technologies is actively shaping how AI is deployed inside modern IT organizations—moving beyond experimentation to establish practical, governed AI frameworks that deliver measurable value without increasing business risk.

“AI isn’t a future discussion anymore—it’s an operating reality,” said Coleman. “The question isn’t whether to use AI, but how to deploy it responsibly, consistently, and in a way leaders can stand behind.”

Coleman Technologies has integrated AI across core operational workflows, including executive meetings, service delivery, sales enablement, content development, and internal policy creation. Rather than relying on ad-hoc tools, the firm has built structured AI workflows and purpose-built agents designed to standardize output, reduce human error, and improve decision quality at scale.

A central theme of Coleman’s panel discussion was governance as a competitive advantage—positioning AI not as a shortcut, but as an amplification layer that strengthens accountability rather than replacing it.

“The real risk with AI isn’t misuse—it’s misplaced trust,” Coleman explained. “AI should accelerate thinking, not override it. Human review, access control, and clear ownership are non-negotiable.”

This philosophy closely aligns with the Leader in Managed IT Awards, which recognize service providers demonstrating excellence in security posture, operational maturity, and industry leadership. Alcohol-related incidents remain a significant concern on California roads, impacting lives and communities. CRC’s DUI Program goes beyond compliance; it provides education, counseling, and resources to help individuals make meaningful changes, reduce the risk of repeat offenses, and reintegrate into society as responsible, productive members.
