Art Week no es un evento único ni una feria centralizada. Es una concentración de ferias, proyectos artísticos y activaciones culturales que ocurrieron de manera simultánea durante una semana. Del 2 al 8 de febrero de 2026, la ciudad absorbió esta programación intensa y la distribuyó en múltiples sedes, creando un recorrido fragmentado pero conectado, donde el arte contemporáneo se experimentó desde distintos lenguajes y escalas.

¿Qué es la Art Week?

La edición 2026 de Art Week CDMX reunió aproximadamente 125 eventos distribuidos por toda la ciudad. Esta cifra reflejó no solo volumen, sino diversidad: exposiciones, inauguraciones de galerías, ferias, performances, experiencias curatoriales y encuentros sociales convivieron en un mismo periodo.

En una sola semana se concentraron cerca de 27 exposiciones oficiales, alrededor de 20 aperturas de galerías, 12 ferias principales, más de 10 experiencias curatoriales y casi 40 eventos sociales, entre cenas y encuentros privados. Art Week se vivió como un mapa expandido del arte contemporáneo, donde cada día implicó elegir, priorizar y leer el pulso de la escena.

Las ferias que articularon Art Week CDMX

El núcleo de Art Week CDMX se articuló alrededor de ferias de alcance internacional que funcionaron como puntos de encuentro para el arte contemporáneo, el coleccionismo y la conversación curatorial. Más que eventos aislados, estas ferias estructuraron la semana y marcaron el ritmo de la agenda cultural:

1. Zona MACO reunió a más de 200 galerías de 27 países y tres continentes, consolidándose como uno de los escaparates más relevantes del arte contemporáneo en la región.

2. Salón ACME, en su edición número 13, presentó una selección de 82 artistas resultado de un proceso curatorial enfocado en nuevas voces.

3. Feria Material sumó 78 expositores de 21 países y 38 ciudades, con una propuesta centrada en galerías independientes.

4. BADA México complementó el circuito con la participación de más de 200 artistas, seleccionados de entre más de 3,000 postulaciones.

De acuerdo con estimaciones del sector, la asistencia durante Art Week rondó las 80,000 personas, entre artistas, galeristas, curadores, coleccionistas y visitantes que llegaron a la ciudad específicamente por esta semana.

La ciudad como extensión del arte contemporáneo

A diferencia de eventos concentrados en un solo recinto, Art Week se desplegó en sedes como Centro Citibanamex, Campo Marte, Proyectos Públicos en la colonia Juárez y Maravilla Studios, además de museos, galerías independientes y espacios alternativos. Colonias como Polanco, Roma, Condesa y Juárez funcionaron como corredores activos donde el arte se cruzó con la vida urbana.
