  • Finland’s Gambling Reform Promises “Single-Click” Block for All Licensed Sites

Finland’s Gambling Reform Promises “Single-Click” Block for All Licensed Sites

Helsinki-based expert Bonusetu.com outlines the massive upgrade to player safety in the upcoming 2027 gambling legislation, including a centralized self-exclusion register and mandatory ID verification.

HELSINKI, Dec. 9, 2025 / PRZen / As Finland prepares to open its digital gambling market to competition in 2027, the focus of the new legislation (HE 16/2025 vp) is squarely on reducing gambling-related harm. Bonusetu.com, a leading Finnish comparison site advocating for safe play, reports that the new laws will introduce the strictest player protection measures in the country’s history.

Under the current system, players struggling with gambling control often have to self-exclude from casinos one by one—a difficult task when thousands of sites are accessible. The new Government proposal aims to fix this by introducing a centralized self-exclusion register (keskitetty pelinestojärjestelmä) that covers the entire licensed market.

    The “One-Stop” Safety Mechanism

According to the proposal, the new system will allow a consumer to block their access to all licensed gambling services in Finland with a single request.

“This is the most significant safety upgrade for Finnish consumers in decades,” says Tommi Korhonen, CEO of Bonusetu.com. “Currently, if a player wants to stop, the fragmented market makes it hard. By 2027, a single click will legally bar them from logging into any licensed casino or betting site in Finland. It puts the control back in the hands of the player.”

    End of Anonymous Play

To ensure these bans are effective and to prevent underage gambling, the law will mandate strict identification protocols.

    • Mandatory Registration: Every player must have a registered player account (pelitilistä).
    • Identity Verification: Operators will be required to verify the identity and place of residence (henkilöllisyyden ja asuinpaikan todentamista) of every user.
    • 18+ Age Limit: The law reinforces the strict 18-year age limit (rahapelaamisen ikärajasta) across all gambling verticals.

This move effectively eliminates “anonymous” gambling within the regulated Finnish market, ensuring that self-exclusion bans cannot be bypassed by creating new accounts.

    “Duty of Care” Becomes Law

The proposal goes beyond technical tools, placing a legal “Duty of Care” on operators. Licensed companies will be obligated to monitor player behavior and intervene if harmful patterns emerge.

Furthermore, the legislation mandates that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (https://stm.fi/en/) and the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will be tasked with researching, monitoring, and evaluating gambling harm, ensuring that the system is adjusted based on health data, not just revenue.

  • Artificial Intelligence Leader Releases Children’s Book on Veterans Day

Artificial Intelligence Leader Releases Children’s Book on Veterans Day

WASHINGTON, Dec. 15, 2025 / PRZen / Chandra Donelson, a recognized leader in artificial intelligence and data literacy advocacy, celebrated Veterans Day with the release of her second children’s book, The Data Detective at the Airport, published by Technics Publications. This highly anticipated follow-up builds on the success of her debut, The Data Detective at the Carnival, continuing a vital mission to address the growing gap in early-age data comprehension.

In an increasingly AI and data-driven world, children are surrounded by vast amounts of information but often lack the foundational skills to critically analyze and make sense of it. Donelson’s Data Detective Series provides the solution to this challenge, teaching children ages 5–9 how to observe, think critically, and solve real-world problems through engaging storytelling.

“In today’s data-driven age, the ability to read, work with, analyze, and communicate with data is an essential skill,” Donelson explained. “With The Data Detective series, I wanted to give children a resource I wish I had.”

In The Data Detective at the Airport, readers reconnect with William, a curious young boy who dreams of becoming a data professional just like his mom. As he works to earn his second official data detective badge, William must navigate fun, real-world challenges set within the dynamic environment of a bustling airport. This immersive journey allows young readers to seamlessly explore key skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication, all while revealing how data influences their everyday lives.

Donelson’s dedication to expanding data and AI literacy education has already positioned her books as key teaching tools in classrooms and communities across the United States and globally. With over 2 billion children worldwide, her goal remains ambitious: “Teaching children to be data literate means preparing them to make tomorrow’s innovative technology. If we can reach even 5% of them, imagine the breakthroughs they could achieve.”

The Data Detective at the Airport strikes a powerful balance between storytelling and skill-building, empowering readers to learn through play. As Donelson notes, “What I love most is that the book is its sneaky learning: kids are mastering complex topics without even realizing how profound the skills they’re gaining are.”

The book is available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and everywhere books are sold. Follow The Data Detective on Instagram for updates, behind-the-scenes content, and educational resources. Fans can also order data detective merch online at https://www.thedatadetective.org.

Veteran Sales Talent Leader Joins Revenue Optics to Scale Commercial Hiring Amid Surging Demand

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Dec. 8, 2025 / PRZen / Revenue Optics, a fast-scaling commercial transformation and inside-sales consulting firm serving private-equity-backed distributors, manufacturers, and B2B organizations, today announced the appointment of Christine Schafer as Senior Talent Acquisition Partner – Sales Transformation. The hire accelerates the firm’s recruiting platform buildout as Revenue Optics enters a decisive growth phase heading into 2026.

Christine brings 12+ years of experience sourcing, assessing, and placing high-impact commercial talent across manufacturing, distribution, technology, and financial services. Known for her precision in full-cycle recruiting, pipeline development, and enterprise-grade execution, she will anchor the firm’s Talent Acquisition function supporting consulting clients, SaaS engagements, and the standalone Revenue Optics Recruiting business.

A Strategic Role Aligned to Client and Market Demand

In her role as Senior Talent Acquisition Partner – Sales Transformation, Christine will lead:

    • Full-cycle recruiting for SDRs, BDRs, Inside Sales, Sales Operations, and other revenue-driving roles
    • Pipeline creation and candidate management aligned to consulting delivery requirements and client growth plans
    • Client-facing participation in role calibration, intake, and scoping sessions
    • Business development support where deep talent expertise is required on proposals and strategic sales conversations

These responsibilities position Christine as a cornerstone leader in the national scale-up of Revenue Optics’ commercial talent platform.

    Reinforcing a Proven Partnership

“Christine and I have had the opportunity to partner in the past on inside-sales team buildouts, and she consistently delivered at a level that moved the needle,” said Ali Hasham, Founder & CEO of Revenue Optics. “Re-engaging with her in this next phase of our growth is a strategic win. She knows the pace we operate at, understands the commercial outcomes we drive, and brings a level of execution discipline that aligns perfectly with where we’re taking the business.”

    Christine’s Perspective

“I’m genuinely excited to work with Ali again,” said Christine Schafer. “He brings a level of focus, energy, and execution discipline that is rare in this industry. His track record of scaling inside-sales and commercial teams speaks for itself, and he is widely recognized across the distribution sector for driving real transformation. Rejoining forces with him at Revenue Optics feels like a natural next step, and I’m energized to contribute to the momentum he’s building.”

Why This Matters to PE & Platform Leaders
